We are in Hamburg

Outside Clouds Hill Recordings.

Hello everybody!

Our recording sessions in Hamburg have started. We all arrived here on Friday evening (except for Johan who had to attend some family business in Scotland (!)), and we’ve been working relatively hard for the last couple of days. We have recorded the main tracks for four of our songs, and we are currently working on overdubs and extra recordings.

The studio is amazing. Lots of remarkable equipment and lots of space. We live in an apartment that is connected to the studio, so every day we start working at around 11 and go on for about 12 hours. It’s hard, but it’s probably going to be worth it. With great help from our talented producers/engineers Marcin, Norman and Johan, we are really looking forward to the final result.

We will soon update you all on our experiences at the Hove festival, as well as pictures and anekdotes from the studio.

I am sooooo keen to hear slicker versions of your songs. Of course it’ll be worth the 12 hour days. Stick at it! And Hamburg? Holy Moly, my ‘favourite word in the world’ at the moment is ‘Reeperbahn’. You lucky, lucky sods! 🙂
