After Øya

We just returned from the Øya festival, and as usual we’ve had a great time. This year we played at something called Klubbøya, which is a day filled with club concerts around Oslo, before the real festival starts. We played outside a venue called Internasjonalen. Quite a lot of people turned up (thanks to all of you!) and we had lots of fun playing tracks from our upcoming album.

The rest of the festival we were just hanging around watching great bands and artists like Air, LCD Soundsystem, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Robyn, Lillebjørn Nilsen, Todd Terje & Dølle Jølle, Motorpsycho and Pow Pow (with whom we will be touring in October). Each and every night we went to Øyanatt to continue the party and to experience more bands. Normally we would end up at Revolver, a club in central Oslo. Here we saw Vinnie Who from Denmark. We’ve bumped into them a couple of times now, check them out, they’re great.

Our view of LCD Soundsystem at Øya 2010. Great band, great show.

Now awaits a couple of days in beautiful sunny Bergen before we head up to Førde to play at a student festival, and then to Smedholmen, Fitjar to play with Kakkmaddafakka and Kings Of Convenience. The future looks bright, in other words.

Take care.
