For three years, some great guys from Trondheim in Norway has collected christmas songs from upcoming norwegian artists and spread them as a christmas calender from 1st of December till christmas eve. This year, The New Wine, contributed with a cover of Chris Rea’s “Driving Home For Christmas”. The contributions this year has been amazing: Kråkesølv, Side Brok, Kaja Bremnes, Children and Corpse Playing In The Street, My Little Pony and many more. All these songs are avaliable for free download if you become a member of Alternativ Julekalender on Facebook. You can also just listen to the songs on their Myspace.

The New Wine Christmas Calendar 16

December 17, 2009 by The New Wine

Our friends in Sidebrok have made a brand new mixtape, called “Det e pina d endå en kassett”, containing music from Sidebrok themselves and friends, as well as other artists. This is what they write about the mix:

“Hoho, endeleg noko skikkeleg musikk!

Check it out, great stuff: http://sidebrok.no/endaen/

The New Wine Christmas Calendar 15

First of all, a huge sorry for being stupid enough to forget our wonderful calendar for three days. It will not happen again.

So to the treat for December 15th. Thanks to our friend Tarjei Nygård for telling us about this great video of Swedish composer/producer/synth builder/whatever Ralph Lundsten showing his studio in Sweden. This guy has released over a hundred albums. Check out his very special studio, the “Andromeda Galaxy”: http://www.vbs.tv/watch/motherboard/ralph-lundsten-s-andromeda-galaxy
